How a Furniture Import from China Works

1. Brief & Target Landed Price
You send drawings, reference photos or a product list with the price you need it to land at in Europe. We work backwards from that number, not forwards from a showroom sticker.
2. Factory & Showroom Shortlist
We shortlist makers from our network of 1,000+ verified factories and the Foshan furniture malls, and tell you which are factories and which are traders before any deposit.
3. Samples & Written Spec
Frame, foam density, board thickness, finish, fabric and hardware are written against an approved, photographed sample. That record is what production is checked against later.
4. Production Follow-Up
We follow production in Chinese, flag delays early and check the first finished pieces before the rest of the run is packed.
5. Pre-Shipment Inspection
Assembly, finish, hardware count and carton strength, with photo and video reports for your sign-off. Third-party inspection with SGS or Bureau Veritas is available when you want it.
6. Consolidation & Loading
Furniture rarely comes from one seller. We consolidate several suppliers in our warehouse and plan the loading so you ship one full container instead of several part loads.
7. Sea Freight & Documents
Booking from the South China ports, export clearance, and the commercial invoice, packing list and bill of lading your customs broker needs on arrival.
8. DDP to Your Door (optional)
Where you want the landed number fixed in advance, we quote door-to-door with duties and delivery included, so there is one price and one party responsible.

For the specification you approved — fabric, size and finish change it — not the display configuration.
Export packaging
Carton grade, corner and edge protection. The line buyers cut first and the one that decides transit damage.
Inland freight & origin charges
Trucking to the port, terminal handling and export clearance on the China side.
Ocean freight & insurance
Priced per container. Furniture is volume-bound, so how well the container is filled matters more than weight.
EU / UK import duty & VAT
Set by the HS code of each item, which is why classification is agreed before shipping rather than argued at the border.
Destination clearance & delivery
Port charges, customs brokerage and the last leg to your warehouse or store — or all of it in one DDP price.

You pay for the whole container whether it is full or not. Loading is planned before the first deposit so the order is sized to fill it.
